       From the beginning, controversial issues have grown with the use of seat belts on cars. So it is with seat belt extenders. Manufacturers are divided on many issues. For example: One side claimed that: “if the seat belt is extended, it is not secure.” The other side claimed differently.  However, here are the two dominant issues.

Claim I: Some OEM and car manufacturers have not made seat belt extenders available to their car owners. “Each auto manufacturer has different latching, so it is virtually impossible to come up with a solution that can just be snapped onto the end of an existing seat belt loop system.”

Claim II: “This is a safety issue when an extension is added to the 'click-on' end of the belt; it re-aligns the shoulder harness portion of the seat belt towards the door. So the shoulder restraint becomes off-centered on the driver or passenger's body, which can allow the body to slip out from under the restraint more easily during impact.”

Claim II: GT.Seatbeltextender does not add any predetermined length to the seat belt loop. Instead, the existing seat belt will gently self adjust itself to the biotype of the user. Constant very little tension resulting from the its unique design will keep the shoulder belt in the center of the body of the occupant collinear with the force in the right place at all times. It is important because this tension keeps the locking device ready to lock at all times. Also, the restraint system will not be disturbed, altered, or misaligned; it will be working as intended by the OEM designers so the shoulder restraint portion remains centered on the occupant.
